About This Course

Welcome back to the fifth level of the Agents of Change online course: Tools for Frontline Workers to End The Sexual Exploitation of Children. Level 5 focuses on “Recognizing, Intervening in, and Preventing Trafficking in Human Beings on a Local, National, and Global Scale,” brought to you by the International Centre for Missing & Exploited Children (ICMEC) and ECPAT International.

Level 5 is designed to provide you with a deeper understanding of trafficking in human beings and its links to the exploitation of children regardless of your professional background. The course explores how trafficking occurs; how victims can be identified and supported; and how investigations, prosecutions, and prevention initiatives can help address this crime at the local, national, and international levels.


Participant's Profile  

The Agents of Change is a specialized, victim-centered curriculum for professionals working with potential child victims of sexual abuse, exploitation, and trafficking, including: 

  • law enforcement 
  • criminal justice professionals, including prosecutors and judges
  • child protection authorities, including social workers 
  • educators
  • healthcare and mental healthcare professionals
  • members of civil society organizations working in child protection 
  • elected officials and legislative staff
Course Details
  • Duration: Level 5 is approximately six hours. The level is divided into eight modules.
